Hi,

I'm Daniel, a DevOps Engineer and Technical Project Manager. I came to infrastructure through the long way round: years of coordinating distributed teams in blockchain, and a long-running obsession with making energy systems smarter.

Today I'm a DevOps Engineer at Custodian, a digital-inheritance startup. I run CI/CD with GitHub Actions and the production VPS, deploying Docker containers through Dokploy and Coolify. In 2026 I also earned my Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate (KCNA) certification.

From 2024 to 2026 I was a Governance Delegate at ScrollDAO: I evaluated protocol upgrade proposals, took part in delegate discussions, voted on the direction of the Scroll network, and was selected as a regional researcher for its State of Scroll report. I also contribute to Morpho Protocol.

Previously at VitaDAO, I spent three years as a Technical Operations Contributor in the Coordination Working Group, maintaining service quality and system uptime for a decentralized platform through a $4.1M funding round. I investigated edge cases in smart contract interactions and third-party integrations, and documented runbooks and fixes for engineering and stakeholder teams.

Before that, I was a Technical Project Manager at Varscon, supporting B2B FinTech products: testing REST APIs with Postman, writing SQL to chase down data discrepancies and payment anomalies, and streamlining escalations between customer success and the development team.

On the community side, I founded DeSci Africa, the first community focused on Decentralized Science on the continent, and I was an Ethereum Foundation Devconnect Scholar in 2023. I also help organize GDG Enugu and have contributed to open source projects at Layer5, Home Assistant, and 2077 Collective.

Energy is the thread that ties it all together. My homelab is a Proxmox host running Linux VMs, LXC containers and Docker stacks, with Grafana, Prometheus and Loki for observability, Cloudflare Tunnel and Tailscale for remote access, and automated backups. You can see what's running on it on my Homelab page. It sits right next to my solar inverter setup, and I've fallen deep into the renewable energy rabbit hole with no plans to climb out.
