Backups & Maintenance

The boring part that keeps everything else running.

System backups

Every VM and LXC is backed up weekly to two HDDs on the server, with a replica copied to a work laptop's SSD.

Data backups

Docker volumes are backed up daily: encrypted with GPG, then uploaded to Cloudflare R2 with rclone, which also prunes old copies.

Updates

Custom scripts update the Proxmox host and every LXC monthly. Docker containers are updated through Portainer.
